Want to teach my 6 y.o. rescue (i got her 16 weeks ago) to let me know when she needs to go out. She’ll not vocal and won’t go near the door unless I’m there. Thanks

As for potty training – you might consider hanging a bell on the door. Every time you take her out to go potty, ring the bell first and say your magic “go potty” words. Eventually, work your way up to her ringing the bell. That way she’ll learn that’s the secret to going outside.
