Does anyone have any experience with Yorkie Puppies and Lice? Nicole needs your help!

I have a ?? I just bought our new baby yorkie about a week ago, the day after I got him i took him in to get groomed for the first time. My groomer told me that it looks like he may have dog lice…she said it was hard to tell but she said she was pretty positive he has it. So my question is. He is only a 1.8lb puppy. i bought some DE to use to see if I can get rid of the pesky bugs. but does anyone else know how to rid such a small puppy of them….SAFELY
